Most of the bikes built by OCC (at least for the TV show) are show bikes. They are designed as art, not for functionality or comfort. Much the same way that most of the clothing that is presented in Milano or Paris is art, not intended to be worn to the office.
What about "Pimp my Ride"? I've seen this many times, and always wonder why they make such a big deal about the paint job, suspension and electronics, but never mention the motor. If they are going to "pimp" my ride, I want more horsepower (and good music), but don't particularly care about 19" chrome rims that I can't keep clean.
