There are actually a few bikes that will run richer when the pipes are opened up.
You should do a plug check at different thrrottle poitions to see how your mixture was affected by punching your baffles. If they're anything other than tan, you better fix it. Especially if they come out white.
I agree with most of the guys in here about buying aftermarket pipes. They'll generally sound better than punched stockers and sometimes you can find a manufacturer that can sell you a matched set of pipes, jets, and filters. All for under a grand.
