Just Kidding. I just found this forum a few days ago but I've always wanted to say that.
A strange thing happened to me a several months ago. My wife told me that I could go ahead and get a new bike if I wanted to (I had to sell my last one when my daughter was born 11 years ago). I laughed, told her that we had other more pressing financial matters and shrugged it off. The next week, she offered to let me buy a bike again. Another shrug and another laugh. This strange behavior continued on a regular basis until I started to find myself continually staring at other people's motorcycles as we drove down the road.
About two month ago, my wife told me that she wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Now, I have been married to my beautiful wife for almost 14 years and never would I have thought that she would have ever wanted to do this. This about blew me over. I wasn't sure what to think. I quickly found the information for a motorcycle safety class in our area and found out that there was only a 2 month waiting list so she signed up. Well, she's a natural and passed her tests without any problems. She is now the proud owner of her very own motorcycle endorsement. Before we could even make it home, the search for a good used motorcycle for her began.
One fine sunny day later, we didn't have any plans so we decided to go to the local Suzuki dealership to pass some time and to drool over what we thought we couldn't have. When we got there, she sat on the different motorcycles and found that she really liked the S50. Just to be sure, we drove around and I had her sit on the Hondas, Yamahas, Kawasakis, and even a Triumph. She kept falling back to the S50 and now wants to get one.
Here's the best part, the motorcycle gods must have been looking down on us because the next day, we were able to secure the kind of financial freedom that would cause a grown adult to just sit back, take a deep breath and grin. Having this information, the wife looked at me and gave me that approving nod.
Well, To keep a long story from getting any longer, we go down to pick up a brand new silver S50 (for my wife) and a brand new black M50 (for me) on Wednesday.
At any rate, this forum provided much of the research into whether or not we were making the right decision about the S50 and the M50 and I thought I would drop a lengthy note to express our gratitude. Thank you to all of those that took the time to contribute to such a wonderful forum.
