I was in CVS today, went up to the cashiers counter, and saw THESE:
Anyone who was a kid from the late 60's to early 70's here in the US most likely stuck a few (hundred) of these over their notebooks, bikes, bedroom doors, walls, lockers etc. I couldn't believe that Topps was making them again! I was freaking out. The artwork is on par with the old stickers, and they aren't so "PC" either. Good work Topps!
Here is a sticker sample:
Pretty f-ing cool! At 99-cents a pack, kinda pricey. Considering that originally, you could get two stickers, a puzzle piece and some gum for 5-cents. BUT, inside every fourth or fifth pack is an "old school" wacky magnet of a favorite vintage wacky pack sticker. I now have several on my fridge.
My faves for the old days:
Shot Wheels parody of Hot Wheels
Big Muc parody of Big Mac
Brandy Land parody of the game Candy Land
Copperbone parody of Coppertone
Scary Lee parody of Sara Lee
Bustedfinger parody of Butterfinger
Which Wacky's were your faves?
