When I first got my bike I rode 100 miles to the nearest dealership to have the windshiled put on. That was 100 miles of pure hell. My back and neck hurt so bad it felt like I had water running down my spine. And I cramped so bad I could not move my head enough to do head checks when I changed lanes. It was horrible. I had to stop every 30 miles and strech my neck, back and shoulders.
I don't know how those guys on TV ride those choppers with no windshiled wearing a pair of sun glasses going 100mph.
Getting a windshield and getting in shape are the best things I have done so far to help my back. A back rest would also really help.
