Good story! Mine is similar. I decided back in 1974 when I was 26 that I wanted a bike so I just went and bought one. Before that I'd ridden a friend's bike only a couple of times for maybe 10 minutes. I had the bike delivered to my house and just started riding. Back then, the state I lived in didn't even have a motorcycle endorsement - all you needed was a regular license. No training or special requirements to ride in on the Navy base either.
Thirty-one years later I'm still riding. Just bought a new bike last year.
