That's a very sweet bike. I much prefer the older styling of the GS500 as opposed to the newer gixxer look-a-like. It looks like it's in great shape as well. I would not depend on your friends to teach you how to ride. You could develop their bad habits. Enroll yourself in a MSF course and you'll thank yourself later. You'll have fun in the course and learn skills that may save your life one day.
