This is my first post here.I'm new to riding,August will be a year. My legs have stopped shaking now and I am really starting to enjoy riding, every weekend now.Its so nice to feel my skills improving and feel more relaxed and just enjoy the ride.I still have a hard time remembering to cancel my turn signal but my husband always keeps an eye on me and gives me the blinker signal.I've grasped counter steering pretty well but I know I still have limitations like steep inclines and tight slow turns. I got my license in Alabama although we live in South Jersey at the present time. My husband was blown away that I didnt have to take a drivers test in AL, just the written.Hes had the MFC and has taught me the basics. I need to take the advanced rider course but I'm going to wait until we go to AL again this winter and see what they have available.I just took my first long ride to Johnstown,PA for Roar in the Valley. What an experience the PA Turnpike is!Especially with wind and trucks blowing you around!I love the looks of the s-50 and the perfect fit, narrow, light, around 440 lbs. I'm 5 feet tall and can handle even close calls like when I used only the front brake to stop on a curve which made the bike want to fall to the right.I wont forget that anytime soon.I never thought I could ride but other women kept telling me I could. I learned on a 1980 200cc Honda. What a rattrap but great to learn on. I tried my husbands 883R but it was still too wide after lowering. So he sold it and got me my Suzuki. What a great guy!He rides an '04 1200 Sportster HD,that he loves.I've enjoyed the posts, especially riding techniques and safety tips. Hope you all can ride this weekend, I know we will be!PS:I'm 54 so your never too old to enjoy a good ride
